Megastar Mammootty‘s most awaited flick The Great Father already crossed Rs 11 crores mark in 3 days ( 15.4 in all India )domestic box office. The film got good reviews from the film critics and audience.

The film has collected Rs 4.31crores on Day-1, Rs 2.90crores ( 5.33 all India ) on Day-2 and Rs 4.3 crores ( 5.37 ) gross on Day-3, total fetched Rs 11.34 crores gross in 3 days time. Then on its Fourth day, being Sunday the movie has experienced decent occupancy as well as business on Indian screens and added the amount of 7.24 crores* in 360 screens all over India. Till the end of its first weekend, total collection of The Great Father is recorded as 22.25 crores* at domestic box office. It also beated Mohanlal’s super hit and top grosser film ‘Pulimurugan’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ on the first day. Pulimurugan has collected Rs 4.08 Crore on Day 1. The film was released in 202 screens, 958 shows (including late night shows), and earned the highest first day collection for any film in Malayalam industry

The Great Father’ is written and directing by Haneef Adeni. The film is produced by Shaji Nadesan, actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, Santhosh Sivan, and Tamil actor Arya under the banner of August Cinema. Starring Mammootty in the lead role and Arya, Sneha and Shaam in supporting roles. Film’s songs composed by  Gopi Sunder and Background Score by Sushin Shyam.
