The year 2016 was an exciting year for the south Indian film industry and the fans. The growth of the regional film industry saw a spike in the blockbuster business with more number of films making more than Rs 100 crore at the box office. Malayalam film industry, which has tapped its unused potential in the commercial space with Mohanlal’s ‘Pulimurugan’, was a winner. Ezra


Ezra is an upcoming 2017 Indian Malayalam horror thriller film written and directed by Jay K, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran. Major filming locations were Fort Kochi and Sri Lanka. Principal photography began in late-June 2016. The film is scheduled for release on 10 February 2017. The film, set in the Kerala’s Jewish background, is said to be the most honest attempt at the horror genre.

Hebbuli is an upcoming Kannada action film directed by S. Krishna. The film features Sudeep and V. Ravichandran, teaming up for the second time after Maanikya (2014),along with Amala Paul, making her debut in Kannada cinema, in the lead roles.

Sambhavami is an upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss. It features Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles.It will be released simultaneously in Tamil.The film is said to be 2.0 version of Thupakki directed by Murugadoss.
